It takes an incredible team of individuals to do the work we do.
Meet Jayna, one of Dragonfly Centre’s Educators. She shares with us what she loves most about her role, and much more!
What inspired you to work at Dragonfly?
I love the work that the Dragonfly centre does and what they stand for, I love that I’m able to be a part of it and help teach our future generation through our awesome preventative education to hopefully, eventually, decrease the amount of violence out there, but to also keep the kids safe now.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job for me, is knowing that I’m a part of a team that is trying to make a difference for our future generations. I love knowing that I am teaching kids ways to stay safe and just giving them the knowledge that they can reach out and get help if they need it. Knowing that it may be just one kid that needs to hear what we’re there to talk about, but we’re helping that one kid.
What do you enjoy most about working at the Dragonfly Centre?
I love the supportive work environment! Everyone at Dragonfly is so supportive and willing to help each other out! I also love how our different departments find ways for all of us to be able to collaborate and work together! It makes our team work so much better when we have the ability to work together and communicate effectively with all departments!
What do you love most about your role?
I love that I get to travel around to different schools and talk to some awesome kids from grades k-12 in our big service area! Every day for me looks different, which I really enjoy, it keeps the days interesting!
Share a fun fact about yourself?
I love to try to be crafty and creative, so I’m always starting new hobbies! I like making fun things with my Cricut, I love diamond paining, I’m teaching myself how to book bind and how to crochet!
