New Covid-19 Response
Due to the recent restrictions mandated by the Government of Alberta declared on December 8, 2020 and the rapid spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please note the temporary adaptations to our services. Going forward, ALL client sessions including counselling and support sessions, will be moved to a distance session format. (ex. telephone, text, and video chat methods). We will be reaching out to each of you in the near future to make arrangements to connect with you virtually.
For children/youth who are interested and able to participate, we will be also offering them virtual sessions. If this is not possible, we will be devising a plan with parents/guardians so that they are to support the children/youth in their care. This may include activities and information appropriate for the child or virtual support sessions with the adult.
Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic and under the new restrictions, our office is not open to the public and we are not able to accept any walk-ins at this time. However, we are making it our priority to ensure that all of our clients have access to necessary supports that they need. Our office will be closed for the holidays commencing on December 21st and re-opening January 4th. If you need immediate assistance during this time, please contact the Alberta One Line at 1-866-403-8000. They are available 365 days a year from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM. The Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre is available 24 hours a day at 1-866-956-1099. These lines provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and referrals.
Generalist counselling services are also available at this time, this fee-for-service program offers an income-based sliding scale to ensure that counselling sessions are accessible to those in need. To inquire about these services please contact us.
